Hailing from El Paso, Tx Anthony Pacheco is a student currently finishing his Jazz Performance degree Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He briefly attended University of Texas at El Paso(UTEP) and in the Fall 2021 transferred to TSU. He has become a versatile Drummer/Percussionist involved with the Marching Band, Symphony Band, Jazz Band and Percussion Ensembles both in High School and at UTEP. He is now performing with Texas State Jazz Ensembles and Combos. He frequently performed around the El Paso area and now moved to San Marcos, TX playing with a variety of musicians and bands in the Central Texas Area from Jazz, Blues, Tejano, Musicals, Country, Funk, Latin, and Rock. He has been a part of the El Paso Youth Jazz Ensemble and played in The El Paso Eklectic Jazz Ensemble. He has also been involved in helping local middle and high school students with their Jazz Band Rhythm Sections as well as Percussion. He teaches private lessons to students of all ages as well as working as a full time Drum Instructor at Guitar CenterHe has played with local and touring artists such as Geoff Gallante, Jon Blondell, Chris Cuevas Project, Sam Barlow, Abe Mac Band and Billy Townes. He is now endorsed with Soultone Cymbals and performs with Bands Ruben Ramos and LA 45 as well as different groups around the central Texas area.
